Set for Life Overview
Launched in August 2005, Set for Life became Australia’s first new national lottery game since Powerball. At that time, participants were required to select eight numbers from 1 to 37.
In March 2020, the format changed to its current format and players had to choose seven numbers from 1 to 44. Along with that amendment, Division 2 was also updated to reward winners with $5,000 per month for one year, whereas it had previously been a percentage of the prize fund.
In order to enter, participants must choose seven numbers between 1 and 44. Two supplementary numbers are also randomly drawn along with the main numbers.
The price starts from $9.45 for two games for seven draws over seven days.
In order to win a prize, you must match at least three main numbers and one supplementary number.

How to Play
You can enter Set for Life if you choose seven numbers from 1 to 44. Two other supplementary numbers are drawn from the remaining 37 balls. In most states, you have to play at least two sets of numbers, and you can play up to four on a coupon in-store. In Western Australia, you can only play one game. Alternative, if you don’t feel like choosing your own numbers, you can ask for the Quick Pick option at your local retailer.
The standard Set for Life entry includes seven consecutive draws. This means the minimum entry gives you 14 chances of winning in every state except for Western Australia. There, you need to submit at least two sets and play for seven days. You just need to decide which day you want to start playing.
If you want to play in advance, you are able to select the advance entry which allows you to enter your numbers in up to 10 consecutive weeks. By choosing this option, you can plan ahead and make sure you never miss out on a draw you want to play.
