Cash 3 Overview
Cash 3 is a simple lottery game which was launched in Western Australia and offers multiple play types.
As the name suggests, participants who wish to enter must choose three digits from 0 to 9. Then, you need to select how much you want to wager: $0.50 or $1.00.
In order to win a Cash 3 prize, you must match the numbers according to the play type you have selected. For example, if you have an ‘Exact Order’ entry, you won’t win anything if the numbers appear in a different order. In this case, the target is to match your three numbers to the winning numbers exactly in the same order.
If you pick the ‘Any Order’ entry, you need to match the three numbers and their order does not matter. For example, if you select 123 and the winning number is 312, you would still win a prize. ‘Any Order’ has two options which can make a difference in the prizes that you can win.
With the ‘6-Way’ option, all three numbers are different. This means that there are six different ways in which they can be ordered. The numbers 123 could also be arranged as 132, 213, 231, 312 and 321. This type of option has a lower payout as there is a higher chance of winning.
The ‘3-Way’ play option means that two numbers are the same. If two of the three numbers are repeated, there will only be three ways in which they can be ordered. If you pick 337, they could also be arranged as 373 or 733. The prize for this category is twice bigger than the ‘6-Way’ option as there is a lower chance of matching.
If you choose to play both ‘3-Way’ and ‘6-Way’ options, you can win the prize for matching the numbers in the exact order and/or in any order. You will have to pay for both different play types.

Claiming Prizes
If you win a prize up to and including $500, you need to visit a Lotterywest store in order to claim your winnings.
For prizes bigger than $500, you can either claim by post or by visiting the Lotterywest Head Office.
